| Step-1
Getting Physical Link established |

You
will need to get a Spectranet link from your local
service provider to connect with your computer |
| |
|
Cable
modem (in case the medium is co-axial cable, i.e.
the kind of wire that brings cable TV signals
into your home) OR |
| |
|
PC
(in case the medium is Ethernet, i.e. UTP cable
coming from the Hub or Switch of your service
provider) |
|
Step-2
Getting
yourself registered with your ISP and getting a Login
ID |
| |
|
Once
the link is established you will be given a "login
ID" and 2 sets of Passwords by your local
service provider, which will enable you to register
with Spectra Smart. |

|
|
| |
|
To register
yourself:- |
| |
|
Click on the Web
Browser. |
| |
|
It
will open up the default Spectra Smart login page.
This would be a personalized web page for all
your account details and history. In case the
page doesn't open up on its own please log on
to www.spectra-smart.com |

|
The
page would display a Selection as:* Check My Account
(details of your account type and history)
* Start Net Session (connects you to the Internet). |
| |
|
Spectra-Smart
would encourage you to Log into your account every
time before you start your Net session so that
you are aware about your account balance and of
any communications/schemes launched by your service
provider. |
| |
|
Once
the selection is made you would be asked for "Login
ID __________" & "Password ______".
Please enter in the details as mentioned by your
Local service provider. (Your Cable operator would
have assigned you a Temporary Password, please
change it when you Login the First Time.) |

You will receive
an acknowledgement of having registered with Spectra
Smart. |
| |
|
You can now access
your Login Page. |
| |
|
You
have another set of Password "Surf Password"
which enables you to start surfing provided you
have balance in your account |

| Step-3
Creating an Internet Surfing Balance |
Your
Spectra Smart pre-paid Coupon has a PIN code, which
will charge your account with an amount equivalent to
the value mentioned on the card. |

Charging
your account:- |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Select
the option "Check My Account” |
| |
|
Enter
your login id and password and click on the link
named " charge my account” |
| |
|
Enter
the 16 digit Pin code mentioned on your pre-paid
scratch card. |
| |
|
Your
account is now charged and validity is 30 days (unless
mentioned). Please refresh your page and can check
the recharged value in the link " My account
details". |

|
When
you have logged in your Account:- |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Click
on the Start Surfing Icon |
| |
|
Click
on the Tab "Surf the Net". |
| |
|
Put
in the "Surf Password" as assigned by
your operator. Your Cable operator would have assigned
you a Temporary Password, please change it when
you Login for the First Time. |

|
Your
Set Up and registration process is complete now.
Spectra Smart would encourage you to log into
your account every time before you start your
net session and log out of your account once the
session is over. |
